Interested in going to Florida in January to have fun AND to make a difference? Each year we take a group of around 20 students to work for Habitat for Humanity in Palatka County, Florida.  This is one of the poorest regions of Florida, but their hospitality is amazing.  We call it a blitzbuild because we go from nothing to 4 walls, a roof, and siding in 5 days.  It's extremely satisfying and lots of fun to provide help to those who need a nice, safe home.  If you would like to learn more, contact Phil Kollmeyer ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ).
